Our History

Since 1997, our family-owned group has grown from introducing STEYR MOTORS to Australia into a regional engineering partner across marine, automotive, hybrid and autonomous applications.

Originally introduced to Australia by sister company McIntyre Equipment Pty Ltd in 1997, STEYR MOTORS Australia assumed responsibility for the brand in 2010 and expanded into New Zealand in 2024. Backed by decades of experience across marine, automotive, hybrid and autonomous applications, the family-owned group provides local engineering, integration and through-life support across the region and is proud to support Australia’s sovereign capability.
